God's Guidance Needed
As I look ahead to the upcoming week, I feel like I have a very tough decision to make. On Friday, I got called to interview for a kindergarten position (hadn't even turned in my application yet!) and am interviewing Monday morning at 9:30. This sounds very appealing to me, except for the 35 minute drive. The other side of this decision is that something may still work out in Moundridge- one option is an At-Risk para position, which would keep my foot in the door. I'm praying for God's guidance and hoping that He makes it clear for me which one I should choose, if I'm asked to take the kindergarten position. I'm hoping that I will either love it or not tomorrow when I see the school. I desperately need the Easy Button to work, because I really, really dislike making decisions. I can't even decide where we should eat when we go out.
So, please pray for God's guidance in my life right now. I'll keep you updated when I know more.

A Day full of Tears :(
Our school board decided last night to cut two teaching positions at our school due to staggering enrollment numbers. So I slept absolutely "zippo" last night thinking about this and was nervous all morning. When you're the newby and don't have a position to fall into, what can I say?
When I got the instant message that the superintendent wanted to talk to me, I knew. So of course I was a blubbering fool and couldn't even ask the questions I wanted to ask. And on that note- why do you tell a person in the middle of the day???? I didn't want to hang around for my kids to go to lunch to get my things and go home, and I definitely didn't want to go in the room in the state I was in, and I really didn't want to make plans for the afternoon- so I had the principal get my purse and headed home for a couple of hours. Long enough to dry my eyes and gather my composure- just to lose it again at school when everyone started giving me hugs. I did fine once I got my kids back. It helped me keep my mind off of everything and they are always good for a laugh or two.
Another thing that helped me make it through the day was watching Andrew after school. We had tons of fun playing tractors, squishing playdoh and wrestling on the floor. He is too stinkin' cute!
So, what does God have up his sleeve for me in the future?
*Shaun says I can help on the farm, driving truck and bringing them lunch- not really what I went to school for 4 years for. If I was going to do that, I wouldn't have wasted my time on endless amounts of papers. He also says I can work at Pizza Hut and give him and Chris a discount. I said I'd charge double and expect BIG tips!
*Do I look for another teaching position?
*Do I go for the para position at the Middle School and take a 2/3 pay cut?*Do I help start a preschool?
*Do I sit on my hiney (sp?) and scrapbook and quilt????? Now this kind of seems appealing! I don't think I can get away with that, b/c I would definitely spend a lot of money! I love to shop and if I had the time, who knows what trouble I would get in!Please pray for me and the other person (who shall remain nameless in my post for now) affected by this cut. Pray that God will guide us in the direction He wants us to go and make it clear for us.
*And on a side note, I actually don't want the school year to end (I know surprising since I live for summer and always before I couldn't wait for the last day of school) because I don't want to leave the friends I've made at school and the AWESOME students. I will miss my kids SOOOOOOO much :(
