13 More Days of School!

Wow! We are down to 13 days of school left until summer! It is going very fast and these last few days will fly by. I look at all the things that need to be done before the end of the year and wonder when they are all going to get done. The 1st graders are looking forward to our field trip to the Sedgwick County Zoo on Thursday. I hope the weather man is looking out for us and calling for a beautiful day!

I finally got my tomato plants planted last week in between the rains (might I mention I sunk to my knees!) I also planted a couple of jalapeno plants, potatoes, and have a pepper plant waiting to go in the ground. I am looking forward to making salsa this summer! Shaun's job is to get the sweet corn planted sometime soon.

Once again, we have kittens. This batch of kittens are a couple of months old and very tame. We haven't named them yet due to the fact that once they have names, they always seem to disappear. You would think with all these cats running around, we wouldn't have any rabbits in the yard- WRONG! We have a huge family of rabbits living in the backyard, which have enjoyed eating my tulips.

We finally have siding on our house!!!! We no longer live at LOWE's. Thank goodness! The house is really looking good with the new windows, roof and siding. It did cost a trip to the clinic for Shaun last week- he cut his hand right under his thumb with a new utility blade and had to have 5 stitches.
